Envision Product Design - CMOSXray.com

Envision Product Design:

Our Alaska-based company designs and manufactures x-ray systems for industrial non-destructive inspection and law enforcement/security applications. These systems typically include mechanisms that move or manipulate x-ray equipment and/or the items that are inspected. Therefore, we hire employees who are able to design and construct hybrid systems composed of mechanical, electronics and computer technologies.

This year, we would like to support the Alaska Science Fair by offering prizes for the best projects in a special category called “Mechatronics.” Robotics would typically fit into this category, but also any other mechanism or system that integrates mechanical, electronics, and computer components.

Envision Product Design Prizes for 2009:

  • $150 for the best Mechatronics project

"Incidentally, we really appreciate all the work that you and all the volunteers do for the science fair each year. We know that this experience can have a big influence in a young person’s life. A few years ago, two girls who were mentored at Envision went on from winning at the Alaska Science Fair to also winning at both the Intel and Westinghouse/Siemens competitions: http://www.cmosxray.com/Documents/mentorship.shtml"
