Alaska Science & Engineering Fair attendees and their adult chaperones are responsible for their own transportation to and from Anchorage, lodging, and transportation within Anchorage.

Upcoming Science Fair for Alaska K-12 Students: The 61st statewide Alaska Science & Engineering Fair will be held April 1-3, 2016 in Anchorage, Alaska.

Past Science Fair: "Engineer Your Trajectory" was the 60th statewide Alaska Science & Engineering Fair held March 21, 2015 in Anchorage, Alaska. Senior High grand prize winners will represent Alaska at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May:

1st Place: Alta Dean of Colony High School in Palmer with "Conclusions from a four year research study: Ocean Acidification in Prince William Sound, AK"

2nd Place: David Chen of West Valley High School in Fairbanks with "Genetic Mechanism Underlying Bacterial Drug Resistance"

3rd Place: Gary Hoppenworth of West Anchorage High School in Anchorage with "Determining the Relative Affinities of Alkaloids in Reed Canarygrass for Tannic Acid"
